hagoita- Maiden Hanetsuki
Excellent condition, probably date of construction, 1970s.
Hanetsuki is the name of the game played with the hagoita. This young maiden has both the hagoita (paddle) and hane (birdie) in hand.
 
Wood paddle, velveteen covered handle. Hand painted, top quality fabrics and construction. Silk jacquards and chirimen. Great detailing in clothing and hair ornaments.
