Shipping is calculated by computer and is not always accurate. When in doubt, feel free to email me a list of the items you would like to order, and I'll get back to you with an accurate amount. Another option is to place the items you'd like in your cart, take a picture of your screen with the order, and email it to me. If you use the web page shipping algorithm and are overcharged, I'll certainly notify you and refund the difference.

I believe this version is real gold - the swirls normally indicate the rubbing pattern impressed as the gold leaf is adhered to the lacquer. I purchased these from the Tatsumura Mills in Kyoto, among the most prestigious of the traditional weaving houses. However, I haven't tested the surface and therefore have priced them on the low side, in keeping with the others I'm offering.

Real lacquer on top quality hand-made paper.

The strands are very fine - without a standard way to accurately measure the width of each - I've placed a standard sewing straight pin in one of the shots as a point of reference.

The full sheets are 17" x  23"

These sheets would have been prepared for use in Nishijin weaving, but is also commonly used for Saganishiki warp.

Vintage 1970s inventory.

Excellent condition.
