100% washi, both warp and weft.

Hand woven, hand-dyed with persimmon tanin (kakishibu)

Very fine quality.

 

The larger text of the label states it is 'moro shifu shibori obi" which means warp/weft paper weave, shibori dyed.  The rest of the text goes on to tell of the weaving and and dyework using persommon tanin. Kuromon Kougei is the production house.
